The Script at Avalon, Marina Bay Sands

Singapore's all decked up for the F1!! yay! so it's bright lights everywhere and looks like day when it's actually REALLY late at night, and yes, the sun has gone to sleep a looong time ago. but the citylights brighten up the night. But the streets have been blocked up, so it was kinda hard to get to my destination but LO AND BEHOLD! i succeeded! yay me! *fist pump

The Script's concert was at Avalon, a beautiful glasshouse club in the middle of the water, next to Marina Bay Sands! beautiful place to be! and super chill, fittingly so for the showcase since it was an acoustic session. not quite sure what that meant, cus the full band had a really full sound! and was very pumped up! great balance of sounds! With an ensemble of an acoustic guitarist, electric bassist, drummer, keyboardist and frontman Danny! who, is an amazing vocalist and frontman. The Irish band from Dublin had strong accents, that just made all the girls in the crowd scream whenever he said anything!

"We named our band #3 cus 3 is the magic number, 3 people in the band (Mark Glen and Danny) 3rd album, and 3 is the number of rock, yes i just made that up" *cue screaming girls!

full of humour, some naughty remarks (only to escape the conversation by playing a song), the crowd was wowed by the rapping, quick lyrics, and the chart toppers they played, like "breakeven", "man who can't be moved", "we cry" and their latest hot track, "Hall of Fame" and my personal fave cus it's got great groove and a great feeling chorus! wooot! The love ballads, and his soaring vocals passionately emoting the difficulties of life sometimes in "for the first time" definitely won the crowd over =)

i love his pose here haha!

He had so much stage presence and energy that he looked so into the music, and the audience was really drawn in by the band. his great vocals, highs and lows, fit perfectly with the guitars and keys. Definitely a great band that captivates.

And the guitarist rapped "Hall of Fame" IRELAND REPRESENT'N!!! HOLLAHH!!!

Him serenading the crowd with the guitar. Aptly so, the fans on the club dancefloor just below the stage were singing along, and we sang great he claims, DUH we are SING-aporeans. PUNNY! he pulled it off only cus he's a rawkstah. i swear. HAHA!

Overall, the sound system at Avalon was really nice and intimate, most of the sound focussed on the dancefloor, right infront of the stage, rather than "surround sound" which i thought was a nice touch to the enclosure as a gig space =) and it was cool that the soundman we were standing next to had a song list so the peepers (like me) could peer over =)

And this was all possible cus my friend invited me.. THANKS YOUJIN! =)
what a cool way to start my weekend! its 2am now and nothing good ever happens after 2am so i'm off to bed now =D but TGIF friday friday friday!!!!
